Using the directory

Oh My Gourd is an independent directory of UK pumpkin-picking venues. We research public venue information and accept grower submissions. The directory is growing and we cannot guarantee every UK patch is listed. A listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee that an event is running.

Dates, opening hours, prices and availability can change. Listings with unconfirmed season dates are marked. Check the grower’s official website before booking or travelling. Pins and distances are approximate; use official venue directions for your journey.

Tickets and venue visits

You book tickets directly with the grower or their ticketing provider. Their booking, admission and cancellation terms apply. Oh My Gourd does not issue venue tickets or handle refunds for those bookings.

Free listings and grower submissions

Free listings are free. You must be authorised to represent the venue and provide accurate details and a genuine UK location. A website is optional. You must own or have permission to use any photographs or other material you submit.

Submissions and updates are reviewed before publication. We may request further verification, correct inaccurate details, reject duplicates or remove unsuitable or closed venues. Submitting a patch does not publish it immediately. Contact us to correct or remove a listing.

Optional promotion

Premium profiles and sponsored placements are optional. All listing plans are subject to review. Sponsored placements are labelled “Ad · Sponsored”. Promotional placements may be offered by the directory or purchased by growers.

Standard seasonal prices are Free for a Free listing, £35 for a Premium profile, £55 for a Sponsored listing and £80 for Premium + sponsored. All four plans are free for the 2026 season through 31 October. There is no automatic renewal or charge. Enhanced listings return to Free listing status after the season. Sponsorship is subject to local availability and relevant search filters. We do not guarantee traffic, enquiries or ticket sales.

Upgrade enquiries are reviewed before purchase. Submitting a listing or upgrade request takes no payment. Payment terms and details will be shown before checkout.

Affiliate links and photographs

Any booking or product link that earns commission will be identified. Venue photographs are credited to their official grower sources. Tell us if you believe information or photographs need correcting or removing.

Optional listing setup service

Our listing setup service costs £50 as a one-off charge, in addition to any listing plan fees. It is available for new listings and Premium profiles. The free 2026 listing offer does not waive this service charge. Selecting the service submits a request only; it takes no payment. We will agree the scope, arrange payment and confirm how you will approve the prepared listing before work starts. It does not buy automatic publication or bypass verification.

Privacy information

When you use our contact form, we save your name (if supplied), reply email, topic and message privately in our admin inbox so we can respond. We retain enquiries while needed to handle them. The form does not subscribe you to marketing. For abuse prevention, we keep a keyed, daily network identifier and email identifier with each message; raw IP addresses are not saved by the form. Hosting infrastructure may process connection information. Contact form contents are not sent to Google Analytics.

Oh My Gourd uses submitted contact names, business email addresses, verification information and listing details to review, manage and respond to listing requests. Contact and verification details remain private; only reviewed venue information is published. We do not add you to marketing lists automatically. Growers can separately opt in to emails before the next pumpkin season about updating their listing and choosing their listing plan. We record that choice and its date. To stop reminders, submit an updated listing request with the reminder box unticked, or contact us.

Patch owners can use Google or email and password through Firebase Authentication. Existing ChatGPT accounts can still access requests saved with that account. The hosting platform provides a separate user identifier and email for ChatGPT account access. Site hosting and saved requests use OpenAI Sites and its infrastructure, including Cloudflare. Your request history is retained while it is needed to manage or review the listing; contact us to request access, correction or deletion.

Owner sign-in uses Google or email and password through Firebase Authentication. Signing in creates or uses an account in our Firebase project. Firebase handles passwords directly; passwords are not sent to the directory server or stored in our listing database. Email accounts must verify their address, and can request verification and password reset emails. Google and Firebase process the sign-in; our server receives and verifies the signed identity, including your email address. Your sign-in email remains private. A verified account can save and track its own listing requests; venue ownership and publication still require review. Firebase stores sign-in credentials in this browser to keep you signed in across pages and refresh its short-lived identity tokens. Sign out on shared devices; clearing browser data also removes the local sign-in. The Firebase account record remains until deleted. Admin access remains separate. We use Google Analytics separately on public pages only if you accept analytics cookies. Contact us about access, correction or deletion of these records.

Photos you upload are resized and converted to JPEG before storage. We store an optimised photo and a small thumbnail using Sites file storage; original camera files are not kept. Location metadata is removed from saved uploads. Uploaded photos remain private to your account and the admin team until an approved Premium listing uses them. Removed photos stop being included in your request but may be retained with earlier requests or published versions; contact us to request deletion. Existing externally linked photographs remain with their original host. Saved patches are stored in your browser. Unsubmitted listing drafts are temporarily stored in the current browser tab so your details survive sign-in. They expire after 24 hours and are cleared when submitted successfully; they are not sent to us until you submit. Location access is optional; the site uses it to calculate nearby results. Town/postcode searches use GeoNames data and Postcodes.io. Postcode lookups are sent to Postcodes.io. The map, fonts and sign-in service may receive the connection information needed to load them. No Google adverts or advertising trackers are currently enabled.

Analytics & cookies

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand public page visits, patch views, saves and clicks to growers’ websites and tickets. Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, page visits and interaction events. Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, to distinguish visits. We configure these cookies to expire after six months. Our events do not include your name, email, listing form contents, search text or precise location. We remove query strings and fragments from the page addresses we supply to Analytics. We do not load Analytics on sign-in, listing submission or admin pages.

Analytics is optional and is loaded only after you choose “Yes, sure”. Rejecting it does not affect the directory. We remember your choice in this browser for six months using local storage. You can change it at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing permission stops future collection and removes our Google Analytics cookies from this browser; it does not delete information already collected. Google may process information outside the UK. Read Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Advertising consent remains off, and Google Signals and advertising personalisation are disabled in our tag configuration.

Shopping & affiliate links

Our shop contains clearly labelled Amazon affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. You shop on Amazon.co.uk, where the relevant seller’s prices, availability, delivery and returns apply. Clicking a shop link sends you to Amazon with our public affiliate tracking ID; Amazon handles purchase attribution and its own cookies under its privacy and cookie notices. Browsing our shop does not load Amazon tracking scripts or product embeds.
